About me and my journey

Let me introduce myself,

I’m Edward De Campa,

I’m currently a 60-year-old man that lives in a friend of a friend's basement, she has health issues that if something happens would leave me homeless. I work at doing uber which barely covers my bills.

I started my Volunteer career with North Park Fire Department in Machesney Park Illinois decades ago, in the late 80's.

There I started my EMT career taking classes at OSF Hospital in Rockford IL where I eventually took it to a private ambulance service where I went to Paramedic School at Rockford Memorial Hospital in Rockford, Il. I ran on that rig and worked with all the surrounding volunteer departments along with React Midflight and Rockford Memorials neonatal transport team.

I later moved on to running on a rig in Chicago for another private ambulance company. There I worked several years commuting from Rockford. I later left that occupation to move on with my life and new family.

Over the years my life has changed a lot but over all those changes I have seen where retired volunteers have ups and downs too. There isn’t really any group that responds to these emergencies of the retired hero's so I’m here to change that. My goal is to travel to different destinations and do fundraising and seeing the different men and woman that would benefit from this fund and disperse the funds as needed with recommendations from different departments and suggestions from local communities and at the same time doing fund raisers along the way.
